Physical Education Physical Fitness Assessment Results are in!! Philosophy of Physical Education
Physical
activity is critical to the development and maintenance of good
health. The goal of physical education is to develop physically
educated individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and confidence
to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity.
The Basic Movement Patterns are building blocks. Once they are learned they can be combined to become the more complex skills used in settings such as those found in sports, games, dance and gymnastics. The Movement

and 5th Grade Levels All of the information above pertains to grade levels Pre-K through 5. However, 4th and 5th grade adapt the movement perspective to all sports and activities and refine the concepts of movement to further enhance skills and techniques associated with a higher level of developmental needs for a particular sport or activity. |
